Portal Terms of Use

Effective August 11, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Zip Code Report subscriber portal (the “portal”) — the account area where you manage a subscription, open and save full reports, brand them, and invite colleagues. The portal is operated by ALLTEK LLC (“Zip Code Report”, “we”). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.

One-time report purchases made as a guest on the public website are governed by the website's own Terms of Use and Refund policy. Those still apply to such purchases, including any you make while signed in here; these Terms govern the account, the subscription, and everything you do through the portal.

1. Eligibility and your account

The portal is a professional tool intended for business use by people aged 18 or over. To create an account you provide a name, an email address, and a password, and you confirm the address by clicking the link we email you. Purchases already made with that address appear in your account only after it is confirmed.

An account belongs to one person. Keep your password to yourself — sharing credentials so that several people use one seat is a breach of these Terms, and you are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. Resetting your password ends every session that was opened with the old one.

2. Subscription, renewal and cancellation

The plan and its price are shown before you confirm at checkout, and payment is handled by Stripe on its own hosted pages. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. Taxes may apply depending on your location.

You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in the portal, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals; your subscription features stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for. Subscription charges are final and are not refunded, in whole or in part, when you cancel. Our Refund policy sets out the money rules in full — for subscriptions and for the one-time purchases you make here.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you a link to update your card. Your subscription features keep working for a short grace period (currently 7 days from the first failed charge) with a notice in the portal; after that, live report viewing is paused until a payment succeeds. Reports you have already saved are never blocked — not during dunning, and not after cancellation.

We may change plans, features or prices. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before it takes effect so you can cancel if you prefer.

3. Fair use of an unlimited plan

An unlimited plan is meant for ordinary professional use by one person (or by your team, within its seats). To keep it that way we apply a fair-use allowance: a daily cap on how many live full reports can be opened on a subscription. Reaching it pauses further live views until the next day; saved reports remain available, and nothing is lost. Teams share one allowance.

Automated or bulk access is prohibited outright: you may not scrape the site, script report views, extract data in bulk by any automated means, or work around access controls, view limits, or the boundary between free and paid content. This is the clause we enforce against database extraction, and breaching it can end your subscription without a refund.

4. Team seats

If your plan includes seats, you can invite colleagues by email up to the number of seats it provides — the count includes you. An invitation is valid for 7 days and works only for the address it was sent to; the person must confirm their own email address to join. A pending invitation occupies a seat until it is accepted or revoked.

The subscription belongs to the person who bought it, and only they can invite or remove members. Members view live reports on that subscription and share its fair-use allowance. Removing a member ends their live access straight away; reports they saved to their own account stay theirs, and their account itself is not affected. You are responsible for who you invite and for their use of the service under these Terms.

If you move to a plan with fewer seats than your team currently uses, we do not remove anyone: existing members keep working as before. You simply cannot invite anyone new until the team fits the plan again.

5. Reports: what you may do with them

Reports are informational only. They do not constitute real estate, financial, investment, or legal advice, and they are provided “as is”. The data is aggregated from sources such as the US Census Bureau, FBI, BLS, HUD, NCES and EPA and may contain inaccuracies, gaps, or delays inherited from them; ZIP boundaries are approximated using Census ZCTA geography, and crime statistics are estimates based on partial agency reporting coverage, disclosed in each report. Every value carries its source and an “as of” date. Verify anything critical independently before acting on it.

Zip Code Report is not a consumer reporting agency, and reports are not “consumer reports” under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). You may not use report data to make decisions about any person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing (including tenant screening), or for any other purpose regulated by the FCRA, nor in any way that violates the Fair Housing Act or other anti-discrimination laws. This applies to reports you prepare for others exactly as it applies to reports you read yourself.

Within those limits, your subscription licenses you to use reports in your own professional work, including giving an individual prepared report to your own client. You may not resell, republish or redistribute reports or the underlying data as a product, feed or dataset, remove source attribution or the watermark from a report, or use the service to build a competing product.

6. Saved reports

Saving a report freezes it as a snapshot of the data at that moment. Saved reports stay in your account and keep opening after your subscription ends — that is deliberate, so work you have already done for a client does not disappear. A saved report is not updated afterwards; open a fresh live report when you need current data.

7. Your branding on reports

You can add your name, brokerage and contact details, and upload a logo, to appear on reports you prepare. By uploading a logo you confirm that you own the rights to it or are licensed to use it, and you authorise us to display it on those reports. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter, including any licence numbers or disclosures your profession requires.

We may remove a logo that appears to infringe someone's rights, is unlawful, or is not a business logo at all. Removal affects reports rendered from then on; reports already saved keep whatever was frozen into them, because a saved snapshot is never rewritten. Uploading a new logo submits it for review again.

8. API access

Some plans include access to our read-only API. If yours does, you can issue a limited number of API keys from your account. A key is shown to you once, at the moment it is created — we store only a one-way hash of it and cannot recover or re-display it. Treat a key as a password: it acts with your subscription's rights, you are responsible for everything done with it, and you should revoke it in your account the moment you suspect it has been exposed. Do not embed a key in a website, mobile app, or anything else a third party can read.

API use is subject to published limits — a maximum number of reports per calendar month and a maximum number of requests per minute, applied to the subscription as a whole rather than to each key. Exceeding a limit results in a refusal, never in an automatic charge. The current limits are stated in the API documentation and are part of the plan, not of these Terms; we will tell you before reducing them.

The API returns one ZIP code per request by design, and offers no listing, search, or bulk endpoint for report data. Account endpoints are different in kind: they list your own subscription's activity — your usage, your keys, the reports your team has requested and the client links you have sent — which is your record of what you did, not our data about ZIP codes. Working around that — enumerating ZIP codes to assemble a copy of the database, pooling keys across subscriptions, or sharing your access with people who are not on your subscription — is a breach of the fair-use and bulk-extraction clause above, and we may suspend a key or the subscription for it, without a refund. Every API response carries the source attributions and notices that the underlying data licenses require; those must be displayed with the data wherever you present it, and removing them is a breach of these Terms. Everything in section 5 about what you may do with report data applies to data received through the API, including the FCRA and Fair Housing restrictions and the prohibition on reselling or redistributing it.

Version 1 of the API carries no service-level commitment: it may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons upstream of us, and you should build in retries. We may add fields and sections to responses at any time, so your integration should ignore what it does not recognise; a change that breaks existing integrations would be released as a new version of the response format.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the portal at any time by cancelling your subscription; to close your account entirely, write to alltekmainbox@gmail.com. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these Terms — in particular bulk extraction, credential sharing, unlawful use of report data, or a fraudulent chargeback — and where we do so for a breach, fees already paid are not refunded. If we end your access for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.

10. Availability

We work to keep the portal available but do not promise uninterrupted service: maintenance, an upstream data source, or a payment provider can all interrupt it. We may change or withdraw features; where a change materially reduces what your plan provides, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of the current period.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALLTEK LLC's total liability arising from your use of the portal is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for decisions made in reliance on report data, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost business or lost profits.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top. Where a change materially affects your rights we will tell you before it takes effect. Continued use of the portal after that constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles — the same as the website's Terms of Use. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the portal will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.

14. Privacy and contact

What the portal collects about you, why, and who else sees it is set out in the Portal Privacy policy. Questions about these Terms, your subscription, or your account: alltekmainbox@gmail.com, ALLTEK LLC.
